About

I'm a KiCad fan whose day-to-day schematic work is mostly in Cadence OrCAD Capture. This tool exists so I — and hopefully others in the same position — can move designs between the two without redrawing everything by hand.

It's currently at the testing stage: free, no account needed, and I'm actively looking for real EDIF/KiCad files to find what still breaks. See News for what's changed recently.

Roadmap

• Schematic obfuscation (planned) — an option to replace fields like value and footprint with KiCad-style UUID strings before archiving, so a retained file can be inspected structurally without exposing what the circuit actually does.
• Beyond that, what comes next depends on what this testing phase turns up — see Stats for how it's going so far.
